I will be adding more later today, as I have collected about 120 from this flight alone, and will get the rest of the shots from the second leg (Singapore -> Australia) tomorrow!
As I’m writing this, I have about an hour to go till the flight is ended
As I said, I WILL make sure the shots are uploaded tomorrow
- though you can browse through the current shots atm
Some of you may know of the VA I and Luke Bateson are creating, jetEngland.com.
jetEngland has undergone some heavy maintenance work since it started and before we want to release it to the public.
It has already had a BETA test, which was okay - though We feel it could of been ALOOTTT better than its current state.
For example: Instead of usernames, we now have Pilot ID’s. We have completly scrapped the “get injured” idea, and have completly rewrote the source code for the internal runnings of jetEngland - the file has been dramatically reduced, the errors have been surpressed with the JE error system.
The website has been reduced from a loading time to 0.80millieseconds to around 0.14 (also depends on server load).
The “lookup user” has been replaced with a more unique pilot system, that has multi-functioning tools for that user.
The backend: The backend has been dramatically changed, with the database being ever-updated to suite certain new/removal (of) features - for example, as I said earlier in the post, the usernames has been removed (so therefore the row in the table for usernames is gone).
There is now also a feature to detect XSS flaws, and if noticed - trigger an error, and block the request.
ANOTHER new feature would be the NEW webmaster centre, with all the different JEAPI examples to try out.
Yet ANOTHER new feature would be the detect server load - and if it gets too high for a certain user, it inputs into our staff job list as a critcal level and then moans to all the technicians that the servers need optimizing
There is hundreds of more features in the linings, and hundreds already fitted but not described here (we’re not going to blow the whole game away!!). Simply wait for the public/private beta (if private, hope that you’re lucky enough to either get an “invitation code” from other users or from us!)
We look foward to seeing you flying in the virtual skys with all other jetEngland.com members.
PS: Checkout VATSIM soon
We have a special treat that will be lined up - put it this way, it WILL be big and WILL attract alot of attention towards jetEngland.com for the good reasons
Safe flying,
Dominic Lipscombe
